What qualifications are required to study Medicine in US?

Unlike the medical education in other countries, the US study medicine abroad routine initiates after the completion of the four years under graduation study that includes the science related subjects. If so, the Doctor of Medicine will be a regular for year’s course along with the clinical rotations.  Hence soon after completing the courseware and clinical rotations, the students can directly move for the Internship or the Residency programs in the US by attending the USMLE Examinations.

A very few Medical Schools in the US provide the limited programs in the beginning for the high school students or the A or O level students . Students are admitted to the medical universities based on the school credentials and if their performance is satisfactory, they are permitted to get enrolled onto the D Degree which is generally called as the Doctor of Medicine degree or the program. This program generally takes six or seven years and admission to it is extremely competitive for foreign students. Read Also : How do the students have to plan study abroad programs
